Fallbrook Arts icí

Lu falling through © Emily Sperling
Lot of good art things happening in Fallbrook.

The Fallbrook Library had an opening for their new photography show on Friday night. A lot of people I didn't know in the show. My Fallbrook Shutters group was well represented. The show is pretty good, titled People and their places.

I didn't realize it was going to be such a nice show and kind of stuck in a throwaway, a portrait of Faro Trupiano doling out slices. Not bad but not my best work. Will take it more seriously next time.

Here is a picture of the photographers that were there for the opening. Larry Miller is doing a fantastic job up there and so is CeCe, the head librarian.

Same night was the opening of a nice new photography show at the Brandon and Hot Summer Nights. I took pictures for the Fallbrook Village News that night which can be found here.

Fallbrook Art Guild on Saturday, a really excellent looking show, especially in its fledgling performance. Congratulations to Mary Perhacs. Got to meet a Blast reader from far away, Heather that night and it was an honest thrill.

Michael Stutz just got a major commission at Texas Tech and a big hearty congratulations to him. Rumor has it he has his own new digs.

Brigitte just came back from an art tour in Cuba . Interesting new flight path and best of luck to her.

Kudos to Mike "Sanoguy" Reardon for winning a special award for his photograph of the foundrymen at the recent Del Mar Fair.

*
My only contemporary artist in the gallery Carol Lindemulder is in the new show at the Oceanside Art Museum with her incredible work. Got to have dinner the other night and it was great. She and her great friends from the desert.

Brett has a solo show coming up.

Bruce found a dead barn owl today that had been hit by a car. Beautiful, even in its mortal repose.

Did Bruce find the dead owl on the Santa Margarita trail in front of your house? I saw one on the trail in a sandy spot down river from your house. Beth C

Wonder if it ate a poisen rodent? I know Barbara had a couple barn owl babies at her house this spring
