Had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Smith at the Academy when I was a wee lad, performing with Big Mama Thornton, Hound Dog Taylor, Big Joe Turner and Stovepipe, who didn't make the poster. My sister Liz's fiancee ran security at Stein's Academy of Music at the time, she and all the roadies hung out at a village bar named Googies, long gone now I suppose.
