Tom Shearer snapped this shot of a large scoop of pelicans at Malibu last week. I have never seen such a pod before, have you? He thinks that it was a smelt feed.
He was Mr.Malibu in the late 50s in to the 60s. He was kind off a mysterious character... He ended up having a lot of,problems with life and finally died at a fairly early age of cancer a few years ago.
