A country rock pioneer. I went to camp in Cloudcroft when I was a kid with his nephew, Howard, a real funny character.

    I saw him at Ledbetter’s in Westwood in about 1965 … before the Monkees…. I believe he was a solo act…saw young John Denver at about the same time, also at Ledbetter’s…. cool venue!
