generally, i think supergroups are a bad idea; they almost never work; McLauglin ruined this tune for me; it's like he's stuck in fifth gear; and Herbie's solo sounded like a piano dropped off a ten story building; the others were ok; too many cooks spoil the musical broth, though. sorry.

Gee grumpy, I don't know what to say, it was a very enjoyable musical experience for me. Hope there's no long term damage for you... Seriously, McLaughlin played a little too fast but that's his groove and it doesn't approach a trip to the dentist in its pain threshold- the horn players were great as was Chick - I love ensemble playing when everyone is this good.
