I guess it is coming from both left and right. My buddy was driving back from Albuquerque when he had his latest epiphany and called me up. 

"Hey Robert, you know how Trump is always photographed in the same suit jacket and ugly tie?"

Uh, I hadn't really thought about it but okay. "What is your point?"

"I figured it out. He's not real, he is a bot, completely artificial construction." 

If the ai guys are capable of constructing a bot that crass and sordid, we really do have a problem, Mission Control. But I really didn't have time to ponder the magnitude of his discovery.

I really didn't know how to react or what to say but told him that he might have a point and that I would get back to him after some more pressing business. But it got me thinking back to the movie Wag the dog and the fact that so much of what we are bombarded with actually is pure manipulation. Doesn't take much.

The Republicans in Ohio were bemoaning the recent ballot vote that restored power to citizenry, something very dangerous to entrenched power structures.

"If only we had more money and time to convince them to leave it all to us. They were deceived by our opponents." But the people weren't buying and watch for similar people's propositions to pop up all over the country now. 

Funny how people like LaRose and Huffman believe that if they throw enough money at people, they can get them to do anything, including ceding their own power and best interests. Because we all know people are too stupid to know what is actually good for them. So easily deceived by evil liberal thoughts.
