Carol Lindemulder

Westmoreland © Carol Lindemulder

I am pleased to announce that the Blue Heron Gallery is now carrying the works of the highly accomplished painter and nationally renowned artist Carol Lindemulder. Carol is an exciting colorist whose work is original, daring and evocative. If I could add one more adjective it might be courageous. Carol follows her own inner compass.

Lately she has been working big, truckstops, shantytowns, imagery that is edgy and slightly off the map. Her work fits in equally well in either a contemporary or traditional design setting or home.

I have been friends with Carol, a resident of Borrego Springs, for many years. I have always admired her aesthetic and choice of subject matter, which brings the traditional landscape into the 21st century. I have rarely carried the works of contemporary artists in my gallery. I can probably count them on one hand, an Ed Mell, Bill Anton, John Moyers and a Matt Smith. When Carol agreed to put some work in, I was ecstatic and decided to break the mold.

Carol is a University of California Berkeley graduate and her work has been exhibited in many shows over the years. She is a long time San Diegan with a dedicated following. She was instrumental in the founding of SOHO and has taught art and design in the area for many years. Her work is mentioned in this month's issue of American Art Collector.
