in the 60's and 70's Freddie labored under the shadow of Miles, but the truth is, he was his equal in so many ways; he had chops to burn...will never forget the concert i saw him play live, under the dome at Palomar College, circa 1970, when he tore into McCartney's "Uncle Albert"; such an underrated talent...
