Hey Robert,

I don’t know why anyone would be confused by your remarks on Robert Anton Wilson and Bannotrump. Makes sense to me.

I really relate to Robert Anton Wilson, a “model-agnostic” who never regarded “any model or map of the universe" with total belief or total denial. He claimed “not to believe in anything”… like me.

I was thinking about belief this morning. And debate. And I came up with this.

Dialectical discussion: Discourse between two or more people holding different points of view about a subject but wishing to establish the truth through reasoned arguments.

Folks like Bernie Sanders discuss opposing opinions rationally, dispassionately, logically, using reasoned arguments to prove which differing point of view represents objective TRUTH.

Debate: Usually an emotional argument between two or more people holding different points of view, each, or all trying to win an argument through persuasion using rhetorical proofs.

Most people debate irrationally, passionately, illogically, using artful, or just LOUD rhetoric to demonstrate that their point of view is correct, thereby regarding TRUTH as subjective, malleable - like Donald Trump.

Discordians, like Robert Anton Wilson and I, don’t believe anything is 100% TRUE or 100% FALSE. Belief is about probability, and what seems probable one moment may seem improbable the next moment.
