Just chill.

The HuffPo and the bleeding hearts of the world are all agog over poor Candy Ann Rock of Enfield, Connecticut.

ENFIELD, Conn. — Police in Connecticut say a 28-year-old mother is charged with leaving her two young children in her car in freezing temperatures while she went tanning in a salon.
Candy Ann Rock of Enfield was charged Monday with reckless endangerment and risk of injury to children.
Enfield Police Chief Carl Sferrazza (sver-AH'-zah) told the Journal Inquirer that Rock left her two children – ages 3 and just under 1 year – in the parked car, which was not running, for 18 minutes during her tanning session at about 9 a.m. Monday. He says weather reports showed the wind chill was 19 degrees at the time.
Rock posted $5,000 bail and is due in Enfield Superior Court on Feb. 9. She declined to comment when reached by telephone Thursday.
The children were not injured.

Ms. Rock is being excoriated and raked over the coals for leaving her toddlers in the car for a little quiet time while she worked on her tan.

Hello, people, do you know how hard it is to maintain a nice tan in the chill of winter in the frozen tundra of Connecticut? Rather than dragging this poor pasty girl down, we should be applauding her dedication to finding that perfectly toasted marshmallow glow. The kids will be fine, 19 degrees is a walk in the park to eskimo children.

She carries on in the fine tradition of such dedicated tanners as Zonker Harris (another New Englander who surmounted his geographical shortcomings to find the perfect tan), Brigitte Bardot and George Hamilton. Lets hope this all blows over soon and that she can get back on track to a nice slow flambe.

High-Larious! Having suffered from tanorexia I sympathize with this poor woman, too. Cut her some slack people! I kid....

Seriously, the tanning bed is rather addictive and can have a sort of calming effect...it's like being in a bright coffin with music to drown out the rest of the world...she probably needed a "Calgon Take Me Away" moment. Some people should not be allowed to breed.

Ms. Rock is obviously a Buddhist and needs to turn to Jesus, also.
