image can refer to the times we're in, but it also reminded me that there's no other place on earth i'd rather be than the desert, than those vast, open, desolate spaces where i feel more connected to myself, to my fellow man, to the natural world, and finally to God (Who made it all) than anyplace else...

I like the desert like Palm Springs or Las Vegas but not the dirty, sandy, bug filled land of sankes and nothing. Laughlin is a good place to go to.
