Hooded Oriole

As my old friend Vlad used to say, the blog is getting awfully birdy. Trying not to regurgitate politics. Pardon me, will try to be more well rounded when I return from my trip.

As I drove out of the canyon today I saw this fat hooded oriole on a branch. This is not a feeder bird, this guy lives in the wild. Usually I see Bullock's Orioles out there but this hooded looks very comfortable.

Not sure if I have ever caught one preening before?

Many of you have asked in the past if I sold prints of my work. I have not pulled a print in over a year, it takes a lot of time to get it right.

I have been asked to put some of my bird photographs in an upcoming show at the Fallbrook Library this November.

If you would like to buy a specific photograph let me know and I will try to put it in the show, good size and nicely framed.
