Hammering Hank

You remember I mentioned that Aaron was a grump. He sure wasn't here. This is a first part of two good interviews. What a great bunch of pitchers he mentions. Weren't we lucky to have seen Seaver, Gibson, Koufax, Drysdale and Palmer in our lifetime?

Speaking of Aaron, I recently received a 1963 Milwaukee Braves team baseball signed by Aaron, Spahn, Torre, Eddie Matthews and Cloninger, among others.

Could be yours. Five hundred simoleans.

Hank hit .319 that year, 41 home runs, 141 ribbies. Perhaps his second best year statistically, he was third in the MVP voting.

Roy McMillan (sig on ball)...1 year with reds, hit 8 dingers in first month...ended up with 9

Cloninger...2 slams in 1 game...lots of regulars never hit 2 in a career...

Isn't Cloninger the guy who was whacked in the eye?
