Where am I?

Note from a birder friend:

I live in one of the fifty states in the USA and while sitting on my front porch I kept a list of the birds I observed Sunday morning (April 30). The species list was surprising since none of the birds I saw are native to my state! Can you guess where I live?

Species list in no specific order.

Japanese White-eye
Spotted Dove
Zebra Dove
Mourning Dove
Common Myna
Northern Cardinal
Red-crested Cardinal
House Sparrow
House Finch
Saffron Finch
Common Waxbill
Java Sparrow
Chestnut Munia
Nutmeg Mannikin
Gambel’s Quail
Northern Harrier
Cattle Egret
Gray Francolin
Melodious Laughing thrush
Pacific Golden-Plover (winter migrant)
