I got a call at lunch, was in a meeting, couldn't talk. A friend but not a super close friend, I told him I would call him back. I did so, a few minutes ago. Apparently, he found out that he has liver cancer about six weeks ago. Inoperable. The disease that took out Buzz.
They are giving him two or three weeks. He wanted to know my thoughts. Even though I have dealt with it myself, I really didn't know what to say. Call the people you love and let them know you love them? Stay pain free. What else can you say? Life, such a temporary and finite proposition. Enjoy the moments you have and make the most of them. Tomorrow can be such a long time.
