Post modern storm

The Heartland Grain Co-Op in Luther, Iowa got hit pretty bad with the derecho last week, wreaking havoc with the metal buildings.

My first thought upon seeing pictures of the devastation was that people paid de-constructionist architect Frank Gehry real money to basically come up with the same design motif.

I am sure that the storm was tragic financially but the aftermath was still beautiful in a design sense.

More than a grain of truth in the comparison!
